Crayfish, Natasha!
Crayfish in the basket, boots left behind. Natasha waits across the lake.
The joke
Lieutenant Rzhevsky rows Natasha Rostova across a quiet lake on a beautiful evening.
A white swan glides past.
“Oh, Lieutenant! I wish I were a swan: white and beautiful, drifting across the water!”
He silently keeps rowing.
Cranes fly overhead.
“Now I wish I were a crane! Flying far, far away! What would you like to be?”
He doesn't answer. He peers over the side, looks again and suddenly dives into the lake.
Natasha leans over the boat in alarm.
“Lieutenant! What are you looking for?!”
He surfaces and shouts:
“CRAYFISH! CRAYFISH, NATASHA!”
(In Russian, being ‘like a crayfish’ also suggests a very different position.)
How to play
Meet the crayfish quota and surface at the boat. WASD to swim, F to pull, E to surface. Four junk points end the dive.
