How to play
You run a British science press office: F for a scientific result, J for everyday nonsense or disgrace. The headline ending appears letter by letter. Answer by the end of the first distinguishing word plus 0.55–0.87 seconds to react. Typing speed stays fixed; difficulty changes through shared prefixes and the time after the distinguishing word. Quick, informed answers earn imaginary grant money; errors and guesses before the first different letter lose it. Miss the deadline and the full headline appears. Four practice headlines, then 30 scored headlines, without repeats. All headlines are fictional.
